Tasna

Planet Tasna is glittering blue water world with a thick blue gaseous atmosphere. It exists in human space and is frequented by humans as a pit-stop for hydrogen gas and water.

No matter where you go in the universe you need water. Water in one form or another is essential for life, technology, and commerce. The Core Galaxy is no different. Water is everything. Especially to Humans and Furries. It along with hydrocarbons are the back bone of both races. As vital as power is to the Solack. From energy all Solack civilization flows. And from water all Human life flows in kind. And it’s not just for drinking. Everything about water is valuable. It has oxygen to breathe. It has hydrogen to power machines. It’s necessary for everything from Terraforming to refining metals. Water is life. In every conceivable way. It may not be as rare or valuable as Feydium. But it’s infinitely more important.

Therefore it should come as no surprise that water worlds are often considered to be the most valuable kind of planet that can be held. The ancient homeworld of the Humans called “Earth” was said to be a water world once. No one is sure what became of it since New Genesis. But one thing is clear. ANY water world is worth holding. And water worlds like Tasna are a double prize! For Tasna not only has water, but an entire atmosphere loaded with hydrogen gas among other stabilizing nebula gases.

In short Tasna is made of resources as are many other prime worlds. Normally worlds such as these would be sucked dry by greedy human corporations. But Tasna has been protected over the years by capitol laws forbidding pollution and over harvesting. Not that humans give a damn about the ecosystem of Tasna. (Although that is the official cover story) – Rather they care greatly about Tasna’s strategic use as a military choke point. Tasna is the only direct route into human space from the pirate regions. All other Hyperspace waypoints have to go around the Great Arc of Joshua. Tasna is also a very good refueling point. Managed carefully it can supply vast amounts of nebula gas and hydrogen to military vessels. –Indefinably!

Tasna like most worlds do have an ability to slowly re-accumulate resources from space. But Tasna regenerating rate is much higher than most worlds of it’s size. Tasna seems to somehow be able to attract loose nebula and hydrogen gases to it. There are even theories floating around that Tasna might be some kind of failed or perhaps just forming star. Left alone- Tasna would indeed increase in mass and volatility.
