Nanner Cat

This is one of my old OC’s Nanner Cat. Nanner cats were one of the many breeds of exotic custom pets that were once made by the Xyphrin to sell to humans. But like many of the Xyphrin’s ill conceived ideas it fizzled and went feral. The “cat” in Nanner Cat was too prevalent and broke free. After going rouge for many years the Nanner cats grew wild. Their genetic programming became garbled and the Nanner Cat became a naturally occurring part of urban life. The Xyphrin simply lost all control over them.

What caused the once genderless Nanner Cat to suddenly become able to procreate is still a mystery. Many blame defective Xyphrin products. The Xyphrin blame Human tampering with the genetic code. Both cases are feasible however unlikely. But for whatever reason caused it- the Nanner cats have now spread into every major system in the galaxy. Wherever there are Humans, Solack, or Furries there are Nanner Cats.

There are some races that hunt Nanner Cats for food, but it has been noted that the Solack often hunt those same races for food in an ironic twist. In all the Nanner Cat is considered pet, pest, and sometimes food. Overall the success of these foot and a half tall banana creatures has been great.
