Planet Blue Majesty


An astonishing world of glittering ice and snow. Blue Majesty was first discovered by Solack deep space explorers on an expedition of the far periphery worlds. It has 3 lifeless rock moons. The Red moon of Nora, The green moon of Gia, and the Grey rock moon of  Theos. From it’s discovery Blue Majesty had always been considered a breathtakingly beautiful planet. Breathtaking – but useless. It wasn’t until long after the campaign known as “Fist full of Potatoes” – that the true value of Blue Majesty was revealed. Ironically- this was done by none other than the Catatoes themselves. For it was on this lifeless barren world of ice that the Catatoes build one of the largest and most valuable mining operations in the Core Galaxy!

For the longest time Blue Majesty was seen only as a natural wonder. –Nothing more. It’s entire surface was one massive block of rock hard ice. This was because Blue Majesty was in actuality a frozen water world! With awe-inspiring features like frozen tsunamis, flowing rivers of snow, and the great glaziers that stand taller than mountains. But it was another little quirk of the planet that drew in the Catato. Natural hot springs. Filled with fresh drinkable mineral water. –And lots of it! From the deepest bowels of the planet weakly beat a hidden heart of magma and fire. The planet’s surface was frozen dead. But it’s core remained alive and well in a semi-dormant state. There was warmth to be found here! Warmth and above all else–water! With these the Catato set to work building underground tunnels and cities.

They brought with them their livestock and fungi to feed their ranks. Using the warmth of their underground chambers, they could keep a new cycle of life going indefinitely. They simply tapped into the heat and water from the hot springs. More than that – the hot springs also provided all the geothermal energy the Catatoes would ever need. All that was left was to mine for metals, ore, and minerals. Naturally the Catato knew they would find at least some resources within the rocks. But NO ONE would have guessed what they ended up finding.

Blue Majesty didn’t just have some minerals. It was nearly made of minerals! As it turned out, the deeper crust of Blue Majesty was comprised many of recourse deposits   in a density that had never been seen before! There was ore of just about every kind! Enough to make pretty much anything! There was gold, silver, Feydium, Maylonite, copper, Astrosteel, Agrocite, Everything! All encased in nearly solid Quartanium! Massive chunks of it! Ever since that discovery - Blue Majesty has been the very heart of the Catato Federation. By the time the rest of the Galaxy caught on to the Catatoes new wealth – the Catatoes were already dug in and amassed a gargantuan new army.

Blue Majesty- now indisputably belonged to the Catato. And all the countless riches it held! But surprisingly all the wealth didn’t affect the Catato much. They didn’t care for it. The Catato are a curious race in that money and wealth are meaningless to them. They are probably the least selfish and greedy beings in the galaxy. They think only of expansion and the welfare of their race- their Federation. And so even with a planet made of riches- they only take what they need to get by. –Nothing more. No other race would have done something like that. To not capitalize on such a tremendous pit of extreme wealth… It’s unheard of! But that’s the Catato for you… In the end they took only what they needed to produce the large army needed to secure the planet. And that wasn’t much… So in the end the world of Blue Majesty is likely to remain beautiful and unspoiled for many generations to come. You can thank the odd nature of the Catato for that…

Probably the one case where absolute power didn’t corrupt at all. Go figure…
